Introductory tune –
4 Children walking and heading to a place. One boy comes from the opposite direction and asks them –
Curious Boy – Hi!
Children – Hello!!!!
Curious Boy – Where are you going?
1st boy – [From the children,] We are going to the Small Christian Community.
Curious Boy – What do you do there?
1st girl – We share the word of God, pray and learn about our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Curious boy – Jesus Christ? That’s the name that catches my interest every time it is mentioned.
2nd girl – Yes, it’s a sweet name, isn’t it?
Curious boy – It’s a name precious to me because it represents everything good. Jesus brought and preached love, forgiveness and peace.
1st boy – He didn’t only preach them, he lived in these manners and died that we might have these love, forgiveness and peace.
2nd boy – I appreciate the name too. But it’s a pity that many profane the name and some others are not calling it for some reason.
2nd girl – It is the name above all names, powerful and at which every knee shall bow.
1st boy – In John chapter 15 verse 16, Jesus said whatever we ask of the Father in His name He will give to us.
1st girl – As Jesus’ faithful, it behoves on us to pray for the world to acknowledge Jesus and His gospel.
1st boy – Wherever we are we must call on the name of Jesus and spread His good news so that more will know about Him.
2nd girl – So let’s continue to the Small Christian Community to do this.
Curious boy – Where I was going is not as important as where you are. Let me join you to the Small Christian Community and praise the name of my sweet Jesus.
Children – Come on then!!!
Song performance – more children join and follow on the way till they reach the prayer gathering of more. They sing together till the end and begin prayer.
Precious Name – Lydia O. Baxter, 1870
    1. Take the Name of Jesus with you,
Child of promise and of hope,
It will joy and comfort give you;                                –              Curious Boy
Take it then, where’er you go.

      • Refrain:
        Precious Name, oh, how sweet!
        Hope of earth and joy of Heav’n;
Precious Name, oh, how sweet!                –              All in harmony
Hope of earth and joy of Heav’n.
  1. Take the Name of Jesus ever,
    As a shield from every snare;
If temptations round you gather,                             –              Girls
Breathe that holy Name in prayer.
  1. Oh, the precious Name of Jesus!
How it thrills our souls with joy,
When His loving arms receive us,                             –              Boys
And His songs our tongues employ!
  1. At the Name of Jesus bowing,
    Falling prostrate at His feet,
King of kings in heav’n we’ll crown Him,                –              All in harmony
    When our journey is complete.
